My blue nose Sugar Bella came to us after we lost our beloved Mary (our first pittie). She came from a friend who said that she was left with them and if we wanted her to help us remember the good times with Mary more than our grief we could have her. We were wary at first, but she is such and amazing, beautiful, intelligent and compassionate dog her sweet puppy face and kisses won us over. She was the salve to soothe our broken souls. She fits into our family perfectly, plays and love our other dogs and cat. She is such a people person. She has been going to work with daddy at least one day a month since we got her almost 2 years ago and boy does she have her people wrapped around her paw! She makes her rounds, gets loves and knows who to go to to get her treats. She is so well behaved everywhere we go. She loves children, but most of all she loves us. If I have a bad day just coming home to my 3 babies and seeing her bully smile makes me happy and forget everything that was troubling me. I am thankful for such an amazing dog, although not surprised that a bully can be so perfect! Pit bulls are such loyal lovers. Thanks for letting me share her with everyone. Punish the deed not the Breed people. Owners make bad dogs not the other way around.

This is our Amstaff Natas that passed away from liver cancer in December. He was 12 years old. His symptoms appeared on a Saturday and on Tuesday we made the decision that it was his time. It was really hard to not be selfish and try to "treat" something that is untreatable. I could not watch him suffer...Natas was my first pit bull. My boyfriend Hugh had gotten Natas at 6 weeks of age. I met Natas (and Hugh) when Natas was 4 years old. I had all these misconceptions of pit bulls and after being in a room with Natas for 5 minutes I was in love. He was kind and gentle. He and I had an instant bond and as Hugh's and my relationship grew so did mine and Natas'. He became "my" dog. He and I broke all the rules: no dogs on the couch (yea right), no dogs on the bed (...sure) and no people food (uh huh). When we were out with him and I saw people give him the pit bull "look" I would get so angry! So of course we would march on over and Natas would wiggle his chunky little butt and their apprehension would disappear. He would leave even the biggest skeptics of pit bulls smiling. He has been gone now for a little over 5 months...and it has been incredibly hard. About two months ago Hugh came home with this oil painting that he had done by a local artist. He wanted me to have something to remember Natas forever. I finally hung it up last week. I just was not ready. I still can not talk about him for too long without crying. It has gotten easier as the months have passed but I will never be over it....I am so thankful that I had him in my life. He showed me that pit bulls are mislabeled and completely misunderstood. I wish that everyone could experience a Natas in their life...There was just something about that little honey colored dog....

I truly appreciate all that you are doing to educate people on pit bulls..there are so many out there that are just like my Natas. And I am glad there are people like you to show the world that there are people like us that adore these dogs...my life is richer for having a pit bull and I can honestly say I will never be without one...
